I-10 Widening West 2 has some full closures coming up to place pavement markings, Wednesday night westbound at Vinton to Anthony, and Thursday eastbound at Anthony to Vinton, detouring traffic to the frontage roads, no problem.  

Paisano Bridge will close the westbound lanes Monday (or Tuesday depending on weather) starting at 8PM until as late at 6AM to move barrier and stripe to fully open those lanes. While they can move barrier in the rain, they cannot stripe, so watch the clouds and you’ll know what to expect there.

Montana Widening will close the eastbound frontage road at Joe Battle Thursday, August 21 at 9PM for paving and that means it’s a NO GO zone, and if you approach that intersection you’ll be turned back via a turnaround. You’ve been warned. I’m sure there will be signs, too.

There are a few other things I’ve highlighted below, like the eastbound Geronimo exit closing daytime Wednesday, so not the day to go to Costco from the west side; and check spall repair schedule if you plan to be out past 9PM and headed westbound on the 10 Monday through Thursday nights next week…

And one note on behalf of a utility: Texas Gas has an issue at North Mesa at Executive, and they require a week-long closure starting Monday, August 18. Below is a map they provided showing the traffic impacts.

Detour: Southbound traffic will continue on South Desert Boulevard to Vinton Road, make a left on Vinton Road, and make another left onto North Desert Boulevard. Northbound traffic will continue on North Desert Boulevard to Antonio Street, make a left on Antonio Street, and make another left onto South Desert Boulevard.

Crews will be constructing retaining walls and widening the bridge at Valley Chile.

• Traffic will be reduced to one lane in work areas.

Closure is necessary for installation of median concrete barrier.

RM 652 Full Widening Project

Continuous closure until further notice

• RM 652 westbound lanes reduced to one lane two-way traffic from FM 3541 to Kimble Draw Bridge

Closure is necessary for the reconstruction of the roadway.

RM 652 Full Depth Rehabilitation Project

Continuous closure until further notice

• RM 652 east and westbound alternating lane closure 8.36 miles east of FM 3541 to Reeves County Line

• Continuous two-way traffic, one-lane work zone requiring traffic to be alternating onto one lane and controlled by Temporary Traffic Signals with a 13-foot lane width restriction

Closure is necessary for the construction of new roadway consisting of full depth rehabilitation.
