I’ve been warning you of the 24-hour closure for the second part a lane shift on I-10 Widening West for a few weeks now, but since it was going to fall on Father’s Day weekend which also hosts the sold-out Cold Play concerts, we came to our senses and have postponed it until next weekend. Happy Father’s Day, dads. Look for overnight closures on North Desert from North Mesa to Medano while we remove some volunteer speed humps (buckled pavement) that sprang up near Mesa and Redd, Monday through Wednesday 9PM-5AM. Traffic will need to get around via Doniphan.

Artcraft will require alternating lane closures the length of the project from South Desert all the way to the NM state line every day next week for electrical work and to haul materials. Thank you for your patience.

Out east, look for the main lanes closed on Loop 375 northbound between Zaragoza and North Loop Monday through Thursday nights for painting, which means that job is nearing completion. Montana Widening is still working on paving the eastbound frontage road, so it will be closed overnight Tuesday and Thursday from George Dieter to Saul Kleinfeld, with locals only allowed access.

Those are the highlights. Per usual I have tried to highlight any exit ramp closures, and watch out for spall repair overnight next week on 10 West between the Cotton bridge and Sunland Park Drive. Y’all stay safe (and hydrated)!

Detour: Traffic on Mesa proceed to Doniphan, right on Doniphan to Artcraft, right on Artcraft to North Desert.

Crews will be reconstructing and widening the bridge at Valley Chile Road.

• Montana Avenue (US 62/180) east and westbound complete left lane closure between RM 124 and RM 126 (Guadalupe Peak)

• Traffic will be reduced to one lane in work areas.

Closure is necessary for installation of median concrete barrier.

RM 652 Full Widening Project

Continuous closure until further notice

• RM 652 westbound lanes reduced to one lane two-way traffic from FM 3541 to Kimble Draw Bridge

Closure is necessary for the reconstruction of the roadway.

RM 652 Full Depth Rehabilitation Project

Continuous closure until further notice

• RM 652 east and westbound alternating lane closure 8.36 miles east of FM 3541 to Reeves County Line

• Continuous two-way traffic, one-lane work zone requiring traffic to be alternating onto one lane and controlled by Temporary Traffic Signals with a 13-foot lane width restriction

Closure is necessary for the construction of new roadway consisting of full depth rehabilitation.

Please follow the detour signs in place on all projects.  All work is dependent upon weather conditions.
