CITY OF EL PASO ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (NIP)
EXTENDED DEADLINE:
FRIDAY,  AUGUST 23, 2024

The City of El Paso Department of Community and Human Development invites recognized Neighborhood Associations and Civic Associations to apply for the Neighborhood Improvement Program (NIP) aimed at enhancing neighborhoods in the community.The NIP provides the opportunity for the associations to compete for funding for small-scale permanent physical improvement projects that make a big difference within their neighborhoods.The City Council allocated $5 million to the NIP to be equally distributed among the City’s eight districts. Each district will receive $625,000 for NIP projects. Projects are competitively selected from the neighborhood and civic association submissions within the same District.

CITY INVITES PUBLIC TO A SERIES OF ALL-ABILITIES PLAYGROUND PROJECT OPEN HOUSE MEETINGS 
In November 2022, El Paso voters approved the Community Progress Bond Proposition B: Parks and Recreation Facilities, which included a new, regional, community All-Abilities Playground for children of all abilities to play, learn and grow together.The project aims to create an All-Abilities Playground that caters to the diverse needs of the community, prioritizing an environment of inclusion where children of all abilities can come together. The City of El Paso Capital Improvement and Parks and Recreation departments are hosting five open house public meetings to inform the community of the voter-approved All-Abilities Playground project.The All-Abilities Playground project community meetings dates and times are as follow:
