COMMUNITY NEEDS ASSESSMENT - CITY OF EL PASO
The Community Needs assessment serves as the starting point in addressing community vulnerabilities. The purpose of the Community Needs Assessment is to obtain views regarding housing and community development needs and proposed activities that support identified community vulnerabilities. We consider community vulnerabilities to be factors that threaten a person's well-being, such as health, access to food, water and shelter. Vulnerable populations are groups and communities at a higher risk for poor health as a result of the barriers they experience to social, economic, political, and environmental resources, as well as limitations due to illness or disability (National Collaborating Centre for Determinants of Health 2022).
The Community Needs Assessment will consist of a combination of surveys and focus groups from organizations representing the following categories:
  • Equity + Inclusion
  • Housing + Homelessness
  • Family Stability
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Food Security

You bring an invaluable lens in helping us understand and capture the voice of our community and in identifying areas of opportunity focused on community vulnerabilities. Please fill out the survey to the best of your abilities. The survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Thank you for taking time to participate.
